What to do – around and about
The castles of Zvikov and Orlik are easily accessible, Zvikov being only 5km from the farm. A regular
ferry boat travels between the castles on the beautiful Orlik reservoir. The reservoir and its rivers provide an abundance of catfish
and carp for the keen angler. It is also worth mentioning Zvikov has its own brewery!
Located on the banks of the gold-bearing Otava
river is the historic town of Pisek which is only a 20 minute drive from the farm. Pisek has many buildings of architectural significance,
a museum and the famous bridge over the Otava. Closer to the farm is the small town of Milevsko which claims to have the oldest Monastery
in Southern Bohemia; the grounds also house a very interesting museum.
